Privacy Policy — Proof of Service

Effective date: July 25, 2026Proof of Service ("the app") is built so that your business data stays yours. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it lives, and what — if anything — leaves your device. The short version: we do not collect, receive, sell, or share any of your data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of our own.

Information the app stores

You may enter or capture the following information while using the app:Business profile — your business name, contact details, logo, brand color, payment methods, and common tasks.Client information — names and contact details of your clients, entered by you.Job records — notes, checklists, prices, dates, and service details you record for each job.Photos — pictures you take or attach to document completed work.Location — with your permission, the GPS coordinates of a job site, recorded once per job to document where the service was performed. All of this is stored locally on your device. We never see it.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app syncs your data through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so it stays backed up and available across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms and Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app works entirely offline with local storage only.

Device permissions

Camera — used only to photograph completed work for your service reports.Location (while using the app) — used only to stamp a job with the place the service was performed. You can decline this permission and the app will still work; jobs simply won't include a location. You can change either permission at any time in iOS Settings.

On-device intelligence

Optional features that polish your notes or suggest photo captions run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models. Your notes and photos are not sent to us or to any third-party AI service.

Maps

When a job includes a location and you choose to show it on a PDF, the app requests a map image from Apple's Maps service. This request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we do not receive it.

Sharing PDFs

When you send a proof-of-service PDF, it is shared through the app or service you choose (Mail, Messages, etc.). Delivery is handled by that app and its provider. We never receive a copy of your documents.

Your clients' information

Information you record about your clients is under your control on your device and in your iCloud account. You are responsible for handling your clients' information in line with any laws that apply to your business.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

There are none. The app contains no analytics tools, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, and does not fingerprint or profile you.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete individual jobs, photos, or clients in the app, or remove everything by deleting the app and removing its data from iCloud (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).

Children's privacy

The app is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — or, for that matter, from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect.
