Badgekeeper
Privacy policy.
Last updated: August 25, 2026
BadgeKeeper is a personal advancement tracker for Scouts and their families. This policy is short because the app doesn't collect anything.
What we collect
Nothing. BadgeKeeper has no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no accounts. We never see your data, and we can't, because it never reaches us.
Where your data lives
The Scout records you enter — names, photos, badge and rank progress — are stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced privately through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. That sync is private to you: it only shares data between your own signed-in devices, and no one at BadgeKeeper, including us, can access it.
Backups and sharing
If you export a backup or share a Scout's records, that file is created on your device and goes only where you send it — you're always the one choosing the destination (Files, AirDrop, Messages, etc.). We never receive a copy.
Notifications
Milestone reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. Nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else.
Children's privacy
BadgeKeeper is a tool for parents and unit volunteers, not an app directed at children. Any information about a Scout is entered and controlled by the adult using the app, stored as described above, and never leaves their own iCloud account.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date above and the new version will be posted at this same address.
