About this app

Learning becomes a ride! Kids ages 4–10 practice math, reading, telling time and more on rides through 21 musical worlds, each with its own song.

How it works

Pick a subject, pick a world, and ride. Every question is read aloud, and the answers float up in front of the ride and wait for a tap. There’s no timer and no rush. Each right answer earns a star, and a missed question comes back a little later for another try. Some questions play on the beat: a pattern appears in time with the music, then your child taps it back.

9 subjects

  • Numbers: counting, adding and taking away, pairs that make 10, skip counting, times tables

  • Words: letters A to Z, first sounds, sight words, rhyming, spelling and reading

  • Telling Time: day and night, daily routines, reading a clock to five minutes

  • Shapes: circles to octagons, plus cubes, cones and other solid shapes

  • Colors: naming colors, mixing paint, lighter and darker, color words

  • Science: animals, plants, weather, the five senses, the solar system and more

  • Patterns: picture and number patterns, odd one out, sorting

  • Same & Opposite: opposites, synonyms and antonyms

  • Thinking: riddles, clue puzzles, analogies and logic puzzles

  • Star Mix: a little of every subject in one ride

Learning that grows with your child

Every subject has levels for ages 4–5, 6–7 and 8–10. Star Rides moves up a step when your child is ready and eases back when something is tricky. After a question that took a few tries, a quick “here’s why” card explains the answer.

21 worlds to ride

Roll down a chocolate road in Sugar Rush. Ride through a giant pop-up book. Race along a kitchen counter at midnight as the popcorn pops. Circle a planet at sunrise, dive down an ocean trench among glowing jellyfish, glide through a tiny village inside a snow globe, visit Unicorn Kingdom and bounce across a giant pinball machine.

For grown-ups

  • A progress report for each subject shows first-try accuracy and what’s still tricky

  • More than 100 stickers to earn in the Sticker Book

  • Progress syncs between iPhone and iPad with iCloud

  • No ads and no sign-up

  • No Wi-Fi needed to play
